    This month several new drugs were (re)introduced on the Canadian market:

    • ARGATROBAN – is an anticoagulant that is a small molecule direct thrombin inhibitor.
    • WINREVAIR (sotatercept) – is a medication used for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
    • DAYBUE (trofinetide) – is a medication used for the treatment of Rett syndrome.

    Several drugs changed their therapeutic class:

    • TABRECTA (capmatinib) – is an anticancer medication used for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer whose tumors have a mutation that leads to the exon 14 skipping of the MET gene, which codes for the membrane receptor HGFR.
    • TEPMETKO (tepotinib) – is an anti-cancer medication used for the treatment of adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
    • VYVGART (efgartigimod alfa) – is a medication used to treat myasthenia gravis.

    And the following drug was discontinued:

    • caplacizumab (Cablivi)

    This month several new drugs enter the Canadian market:

    • The cream Opzelura (ruxolitinib) – a medication used for the treatment of intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis, a type of myeloproliferative neoplasm that affects the bone marrow; polycythemia vera, when there has been an inadequate response to or intolerance of hydroxyurea; and steroid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease.
    • Ixchiq – vaccine against chikungunya virus
    • Ojjaara (momelotinib) – an anticancer medication used for the treatment of myelofibrosis.
    • Imdelltra (tarlatamab) – an anti-cancer medication used for the treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.

    Discontinued drugs:

    • Telzir (fosamprenavir)

    This month several new drugs were introduced on the Canadian market:

    • Avapritinib (Ayvakyt) is a medication used for the treatment of advanced systemic mastocytosis and indolent systemic mastocytosis.
    • Lisocabtagene maraleucel (Breyanzi) is a cell-based gene therapy used to treat B-cell lymphomas, including follicular lymphoma.
    • Danicopan (Voydeya) is a medication used for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.

    Several drugs were discontinued:

    • Xenpozyme (olipudase alfa) is a medication used for the treatment of non-central nervous system (CNS) manifestations of acid sphingomyelinase deficiency type A/B or type B.
    • Beyfortus (nirsevimab) is a human recombinant monoclonal antibody with activity against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
    • Elrexfio (elranatamab) is a medication used for the treatment of multiple myeloma.

    This month a new drug was introduced on the Canadian market – Wainua (eplontersen) – a medication used for the treatment of transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis.

    The original brands of Gluconorm, Cymbalta and Dalacin C are discontinued. We only have generics left – repaglinide, duloxetine, clindamycin, respectively.

    • Myalepta (metreleptin) is a synthetic analog of the hormone leptin used to treat various forms of dyslipidemia.
    • Sibboran (landiolol) is an ultra short-acting, β1-superselective intravenous adrenergic antagonist, which decreases the heart rate effectively with less negative effect on blood pressure or myocardial contractility.
    • Uplizna (inebilizumab) is a medication for the treatment of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) in adults.

    • The signup process is simplified and is more secure.
    • All elements in the search forms are now mobile-friendly.
    • We revised the limitations of the free trials. Now you can make up to 4 searches per hour in our tablet and capsule identifiers. And you can view up to 2 product descriptions.
    • If you signed up for a free trial or bought a subscription, your activity on the website is now logged in your profile in the section “Activity Log”.
    • We now accept credit cards with our payment provider Square. PayPal payments are no longer available. We may reintroduce them in the future.
