Canadian Pill Identifier – February 2025 monthly update

This month several new drugs enter the Canadian market:

  • The cream Opzelura (ruxolitinib) – a medication used for the treatment of intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis, a type of myeloproliferative neoplasm that affects the bone marrow; polycythemia vera, when there has been an inadequate response to or intolerance of hydroxyurea; and steroid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease.
  • Ixchiq – vaccine against chikungunya virus
  • Ojjaara (momelotinib) – an anticancer medication used for the treatment of myelofibrosis.
  • Imdelltra (tarlatamab) – an anti-cancer medication used for the treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.

Discontinued drugs:

  • Telzir (fosamprenavir)
